Our Story
As a born creative I spent my childhood illustrating stories on placemats in restaurants, writing soulful songs, and drama club became my community. I often wondered what God could mean by planting these “impractical” passions within me when I really wanted to walk with survivors of sex trafficking.
I completed a bachelors in Drama Education and a Masters in Theater, with research centered on trauma and the impact of collaborative, multimodal, creative work. I completed my graduate project at-risk girls out of foster care and through the magic that ensued, I was hooked.
In 2006 I developed THE HEALING ARTS METHOD and have led creative projects with women and children in safe houses throughout South Asia and now globally for 18 years.
Our team offers restorative care for trauma survivors at shelters, outreach centers, schools and community projects.
Our mission is to gather and equip Christian Creatives to build safe spaces for trauma survivors to heal through creativity and in community. I invite you to join us in our next online course, in-person retreat, or just by signing up to learn from our blog!
